Wiconisco Township

The name Wiconisco is a corruption of the Delaware Indian word WIKENNISKEU: meaning muddy or swampy house. The Susquehannock, or Lenai Lenape Indians, were the original inhabitants of the area.  Wiconisco Township was formed by the Act of the Pennyslvania General Assembly on July 2, 1839.

Township Supervisors meet the first Monday of every month at the Township building. Meetings begin at 7:00PM.
